Last Updated: January 15, 2020 By Cheeky Team Member

Many people do not know that rather then buying chemicals from the store to clean your kitchen you can actually make a cleaner yourself and not only spare yourself nasty chemicals but save a ton of money as well. The secret ingredient is baking soda! Along with standard dish soap, rubbing alcohol and baking soda…You can add your own environment friendly ingredients such as essential oils. Also, borax is an amazing product because not only is it a cleaner but it is a mineral, you can clean with it or add it to your water and consume it!

Key Takeaways:

  • If you store this cleaner in a container with a firm fitting lid, it should last for several weeks.
  • Try a lemon essential oil if you would like to add a clean, fresh sent to your kitchen.
  • Another essential oil you might consider is tea tree oil, which has disinfectant properties.

“you don’t want to use Borax in your DIY kitchen cleaners, an alternative is to use baking soda.”
