How To Make Corn Casserole For The Holidays

How To Make Corn Casserole For The Holidays

Last Updated: January 3, 2020 By Cheeky Team Member

It is the holiday season and corn casserole is a perfect holiday dish. Some people may consider this corn pudding and that is fine. To make this dish preheat your oven to 350. Mix up cornmeal, flour, baking powder, canned and creamed short. Mix them and add eggs, butter, sugar and salt. After that add some sour cream and grease your baking dish so nothing sticks. Put the mixture in a baking dish and cook for 40 to 50 minutes. After letting it cool, garnish it however you’d like and serve.

Key Takeaways:

  • It isn’t truly Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner unless you serve a side dish that is deeply rooted in nostalgia.
  • Corn casserole is made with canned corn, creamed corn and cornmeal.
  • Corn casserole can be prepared a day ahead or made in a slow cooker.

“Whichever way you make it and whatever it is being called in your house, this corn dish is the right amount shy of cornbread.”
